First Scream 4 movie trailer
Wes Craven hints on a possible new Scream triology
October, 8. 2010.
There has been no dearth of "Scream 4" casting news these past few months, with a steady stream of young stars -- Emma Roberts, Adam Brody, Hayden Panettiere, Nico Tortorella, Erik Knudsen, Marley Shelton and Rory Culkin -- lining up alongside series regulars Courteney Cox and David Arquette to fight for their lives (in most cases futilely) in the face of a new spate of Ghostface killings.
In a recent chat with MTV News to discuss his 3-D supernatural thriller "My Soul to Take" (in theaters today), "Scream 4" director Wes Craven gave us a rundown of the fourth installment's plot and revealed whether those new "Scream" trilogy rumors are true.
"The studio wants to be very, very secretive about it," Craven admitted. "I think it's kind of known that Neve is returning to her hometown for a short visit, and all hell breaks loose. But there's also a whole cast of new characters -- there's some very, very interesting kids."
Will we be seeing any of those "interesting kids" in some sequels? "It is or was a planned trilogy. I think the studio is realistic enough to say, let's see how it does," Craven said. But Kevin Williamson [the series creator and screenwriter] does have an idea for a planned trilogy out of it."

For those in need of a visual reminder of just which hot babes are making an appearance you can check out the whole heap of hotties below!
"The horror series that reignited the genre and grossed more than $500 million worldwide is back! From Kevin Williamson, creator of the original Scream trilogy, the new film sees the return of cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette along with a group of new stars, who can all hopefully stay alive long enough to figure out the new rules to this one-of-a-kind horror franchise!"
Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette will all rejoin the franchise for the fourth time as their respective characters Sidney, Gail and Dewey.
'Scream 4' will arrive in US theatres on 15 April 2011.

Lucy Halen and Shenae Grimes join Scream 4
August, 27. 2010.
Two more names are being added to the ongoing cast list of the highly anticipated and long awaited ‘Scream 4.’
Shenae Grimes from ‘90210′ and Lucy Hale from ‘Pretty Little Liars’ will both be making cameos in the film, reports Just Jared. The roles will likely be small, but were just filmed today.
Shenae even informed fans on her Twitter of the new gig: “on set waiting to bang out my cameo in scream 4!” But she also told fans that everything was “all hush hush,” so no insider secrets are being revealed here.
These two young TV stars are joining the recent cast additions of Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell.

Scream 4 shooting delayed
August, 25. 2010.
According to THR, the Scream 4 script is currently at 140 pages. While things change all the time on set and in the editing room, 140 pages for a horror movie is very unusual. The thing you need to know is…one page usually equals one minute of screen time. If you do the math, Scream 4 could end up being close to a two and a half hour movie. But it’s probably going to get cut down in the editing room, as the first three films were all around two hours.
Also, in the same report, the film was supposed to wrap around Labor Day, but production is now scheduled to go till September 24. While adding days to a production is nothing new, as you can tell when reading all our coverage on the making of Scream 4, the film has dealt with more than a few bumps in the road. Saying that, no matter what the film costs and no matter how long the film ends up being, it’ll probably open huge and make back all its money in the first few weeks.

Anna Paquin and Kirsten Bell join the cast of Scream 4
August, 25. 2010.
Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell are set to appear in Wes Craven’s Scream 4. Of course, their late inclusion (filming is already well underway in Michigan) raises questions as to whether these two name-actresses will be the Drew Barrymores of the fourth installment (the inclusion of Barrymore in the first Scream was an homage to Janet Leigh’s unexpected demise in Psycho). Of course, if you saw these two actresses in the very first scene of the movie and yet didn’t see them on the poster, what would your conclusion be as to their fate? Granted, the final poster for the film hasn’t arrived, but in any event I wouldn’t bet on their characters to survive the slaughter.

New Scream 4 set photos; Matthew Lillard returns?
August, 20. 2010.
We have two quick pieces of Scream 4 news for you today. First up, photos from the set of the film have leaked online. There’s nothing massive like, “Oh, so all those people die.” More like, “I see Neve Campbell has grown her hair out.” There are also some snaps of cast members Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, and David Arquette.
There’s also some very interesting news from Ann Arbor [via Bloody Disgusting] that Neve Campbell and Scream co-star Matthew Lillard will spotted having dinner together last Thursday. In the first Scream, Lillard played Stuart ‘Stu’ Macher and was easily the best thing in the entire movie (“My mom and dad are going to be so mad at me!”). Hit the jump to check out some of the photos snapped from the set and hopefully we’ll be able to find out more about Lillard’s role in the movie. Scream 4 is slated to open on April 15, 2011.

Scream 4 Makes Me Feel Like a Kid
August, 5. 2010.
Arquette tells me he had no problem reprising his role as the bumbling Dewey Riley for the fourth installment of the Ghostface franchise—even though it's been like forever since Scream 3 hit theaters. "He's an easy character for me to play for some reason," he says with a laugh. "I think we might share a lot of the same qualities, good or bad."
Arquette and his wife Courteney Cox along with Neve Campbell and director Wes Craven have all returned to resurrect the horror series…
"It's really been kind of a trip for me to say the least," Arquette says. "I met my wife on the first one 14 years ago or something and now we have a child."
Will daughter Coco be popping up in the new movie? Maybe. Sorta.
"She may be in a picture somewhere," Arquette teases.
Joining the original cast are Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere, among others. "It's weird. All these kids are turning 21 on the set—or not even that," Arquette says. "I've gone out a few times with them, and Courteney's like, 'David, you're not a kid anymore.' I'm like, 'I know, but I still feel like one.' "

Courteney and David on set
July, 8. 2010.
More and more stars have been seen hitting the set of "Scream 4". After Neve Campbell was seen filming her scene in Northville on Tuesday, July 6, Courteney Cox, David Arquette as well as Adam Brody have been pictured joining her during the production on the next day.

The depicter of Gale covered herself in a purple tight dress matched with the same colored blazer, while the two actors who play police officers were seen sporting their uniforms. Campbell was also there, still wearing the same pink dress she donned the day before. They probably filmed the scene where Sidney Prescott attends a book signing with Arquette's Dewey watching the event.
Previously, Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere had been snapped filming their parts at Woodworth Middle School in Ternes St Dearborn, MI which is converted into Woodsboro High School. The two join the movie as new cast members, playing Jill and her nerdy film geek friend respectively.
